3. ISW food photography mini lesson
During my first semester of graduate studies, I noticed a fascinating phenomenon: many students chose food as their first warm-up project, which piqued my curiosity. We come from different countries and regions with diverse cultural backgrounds, and food is a topic that resonates deeply with us. Therefore, during my reading break, participating in the ISW (Instructional Skills Workshop), I also wanted to try food as my first research method.
In the 3.5-day workshop, I prepared three consecutive food photography lessons to test my skills in a real teaching environment. During this time, I prepared food items tailored to each student's preferences to use as props for each lesson, and these items were meant to be eaten after the shoot to avoid waste. I also prepared a Padlet mood board to showcase and share the final results.
